And the house projects continue...
So sorry for those of you waiting to hear more from us and our house. We have been quite busy. A lot has changed in our new house since I last blogged. We added a new addition to our family Emma, who has brought so much fun and joy to our lives. She definitely loves to play and definitely makes taking a break from house work worth it!
Over the last few weeks, Jared has finished installing the hardwood floors with the help of friends. They go from the entry to the living room and kitchen on the stairs and through the hallways. They are beautiful and they are not even finished yet. This week we are having them finished. The rooms are almost all painted. Two of the guest rooms are done, the master, the dining room, kitchen, living room and hallways are done. The paint has been bought for the master bath, guest bath, laundry room, den and basement. Lets just say that the 250.00 dollars my husband alotted for paint was not a very reasonable goal. We have totaled near 50 gallons of paint and maybe a little more! We are so excited it is coming together.
About a week and a half ago I was able to go and purchase our first decorative pieces, the mirrors for the master bath. It was fun and exciting. Many of you who have been reading probably read about the toilet clogging. Leave it to my husband to research and find a xcel document with toilet ratings. I laughed really hard when he told me this, so go ahead and laugh. So, Jared found some toilets chair height and with a dual flush. They are designed so that one button is for "number 1" and the other button is for a "number 2." I was really laughing when he told me this. So now to think of a decorative way to tell guests which button to press.
Anyways, last week I was out of town in Colorado visiting family and Jared came out at the end of the week. We did a train ride through the Royal Gorge for our Godson Ben's 3rd birthday. It was a lot of fun. We are now home after a relaxing few days off and ready to start more home projects. We are moving in two weeks!!
